Aus der Familie der Bockkäfer (Cerambycidae) sind der Wissenschaft derzeit etwa 27.000 Arten bekannt, davon leben circa 600 in Mitteleuropa und 197 in Deutschland, siehe Quelle (Stand: Dezember 2024). Einige dieser Spezies sind recht groß und auffällig gefärbt. In Köln und Umgebung konnte ich bislang bereits einige Bockkäferarten beobachten und fotografieren.
